IT’S official! Perth has just braved its coldest morning of the year.
Temperatures in the CBD plummeted to just 3.2 degrees at 6.46am this morning, beating the previous low of 3.8 degrees in late June.
It was even colder at Perth Airport, which recorded a low of 2.5 degrees just before 7am, while Jandakot fared even worse, dropping to 2.4 degrees at 7am.
The cold temperatures are not over yet either, with a minimum of 3 degrees predicted for tonight.

The recent cold snap follows Perth’s wettest start to an August in over 70 years.
The Bureau of Meteorology has reported 103.1mm of rain in the first nine days since 1945.
